Hard luck to the Westmeath Senior Footballers who gave such a brave display in the Leinster Final and get well soon to Ray Connellan who unfortunately suffered a serious injury in the game.

Fixtures
The various County Championships are in full swing so Páirc Chiaráin will be a busy place this week, while our Seniors are in action in Tang on Saturday evening.

Minor Championship Division 1: Athlone v. Millmore Gaels, Páirc Chiaráin, 7.30pm Weds 20th.
Junior Championship Section B: Athlone v. Rosemount, Páirc Chiaráin, 7.30pm Thurs 21st.
Senior Championship Section A: Garrycastle v. Maryland, Páirc Chiaráin, 7.30pm Thurs 22nd.
Senior Championship Section B: Athlone v. Coralstown-Kinnegad, Tang, 6.00pm Sat 23rd.
Ladies Junior Championship: Athlone v.  Shandonagh, Páirc Chiaráin, 7.00pm Sun 24th.
Boys U16 Championship Group 1: Athlone v. Mullingar Shamrocks, Páirc Chiaráin, 7.30pm, Mon 25th.

Cúl Camp 2016 takes place in Athlone GAA from next Monday, 25th July to Friday, 29th July, 2016 from 10am to 2.30pm.  Attendance is open to boys & girls from 6 years to 13 years.  Cost is €55 for first child, €45 for second and €40 for third & fourth child.  Book online or contact David O'Connell at 087 2397519.  Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps provide boys and girls with an action-packed and fun-filled week of activity during the summer holidays which revolves around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games

Fundraising 2016
Athlone GAA Club is running “Lip Sync Battle” on Saturday 3rd September in the Sheraton Hotel to raise funds for the Club.  Approx 15 acts from across the Club will “mime” to their favourite singers/bands. Spaces are filling up fast so if you are interested in performing or can help out in any way, please contact Cora at 086 8132090 or Teresa at 087 6799472 or Dympna at 087 3177255

Underage football for boys and girls age 4-12 continues every Sunday at 11.30am.  New players are always welcome and never hesitate to bring a friend. Any queries, contact David O'Connell at 087 2397519.  Club gear also available in the Clubhouse between 11-1pm every Sunday.

Athlone GAA Bingo:
Bingo takes place in the Clubhouse every Thursday at 8.30pm.  Loads of cash prizes. Everyone Welcome.
